Books I'd Like To Read

I like reading, very much. When I was a kid I read almost everyday. As I got older I started reading less and less. Now, I want to start reading again, because I like to read and it takes away my stress. I also have read that it stimulates your memory and some other good stuff. In short: reading doesn't do any harm and can only be good.

I have made a list of books I want to read. Want to know more? Keep on reading! :-)

Let's start with some modern literature.

1. Sapiens by Yuval Noah Harari. I bought this book for my Dad and I think it's a very interesting book. So when he is done, I think I'll borrow it.

2. That brings us to Homo Deus (also) by Yuval Noah Harari. If I like the first book, I probably want to read this one as well. I saw some good reviews about the first one, so I'm sure these two are great books to read!

3. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Maybe better known as the books where the hit series Game of Thrones is based on. I started watching the serie and I absolutely love it. As I know from experience, books often cover much more than the TV screen shows, so I think I really need to read the books. I want to wait however until all the books are launched so I can buy them all at once in a collection box set <3.

4. The Hobbit by J. R. R. Tolkien. Love the movies, and therefore I should read the book.

5. The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. I have seen the movies so many times, but I have never read a letter from the book. Shame! I love the movies, so I think the books will absolutely blow my mind!

I think I'll be busy for a while reading these books and this seems like a nice list to me for now. At this moment I am reading medical literature written in Dutch. It's called "Wij zijn ons brein" (literally translated: we are our brain) by Dick Swaab. It's, as the title says, about our brain. It describes what's going on in our brain from birth to death: puberty, falling in love, Alzheimer's, etc. Very interesting!

What are the books you'd like to read? Are there books I absolutely have to read? Let me know!

XO's Anna
