Lush Fresh Farmacy

I love walking into a Lush store. Even before I enter the lovely smells find my nose and I can't help myself to enter the store. The stores are all so cute and colorful, I love it.

Anyway. I was looking for a good face wash, because the face wash I was using was very drying. After washing my face under the shower, the skin on my face was always very tight-feeling and dry. I also had red spots on my cheeks. It was like pimples, but without the inflammation and the bumps.

I decided to get a Lush face wash and I picked Fresh Farmacy.

I was doubting to get Fresh Farmacy or Coalface. I went with Fresh Pharmacy. I have been using it on and off for quite a while now and I'm going to tell you what I think about it!

Fresh Farmacy is made for people with sensitive skin that needs calming and balance. I believe there is some tea tree in it too for people with impurities skin. I'm not going to talk about what is in it and such, because you can simply look it up on their website and I don't want to bore you with that information, unless I think it's super interesting.

First of all, I think it's a cool idea, "soap" for your face. It also is very handy for traveling. You wet the soap and rub it a bit. Some sort of very liquid soaps/face wash forms (just like regular soap actually).

I put the soap back in it's container and
1) gently rub my face with it. After that I rinse it off
2) I put it on my face and cleanse my face with the Clarisonic and rinse it off
3) I put it on my face and cleanse my face with a Konjac sponge

After I rinsed it off my face does not feel dry. It feels clean, because when you rinse it off it squeaks a bit. That's because Fresh Farmacy contains SLS: for some people a reason not to use it. I don't find it makes my skin dry however and like how it cleanses my face and leaves my cheeks with little irritations (the red spots).

But for me, that's the only thing the face wash does: nicely cleansing my face. You might think: well, that is the purpose of a face wash, isn't it? But my skin needs more than just a simple rinse. I have a very oily T-zone and the pores on my nose are pretty clogged up. Same for my chin, but that is not showing as much. So I like a face wash that takes care of my clogged pores too, or at least a little bit.

That is why I have been using such aggressive products on my face, to clean out the pores on my nose a bit. It probably only made it worse, but oh well...

It doesn't unclog my pores, but it does make the skin on my cheeks brighter and less irritated. That's a good thing. However, I am not going to repurchase it because I don't think it does enough for my entire face.

I have used another cleanser with my Clarisonic and that cleanser did a good job cleansing my pores and the rest of my face (I didn't really like the formula however) and that one was for sensitive skin too.

So I'm not blown away with the results I get from this cleanser. It's OK, but not more than that. I am using it at my parent's house for when I'm there for the weekend.

I recommend it to people who have sensitive, not oily skin.

Have you ever used a Lush face cleanser?
