Kat von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Double Dare

Since Kat von D came out with a make up line I wanted to try it out, but there was one problem.. Sephora doesn't exist anymore in the Netherlands! And when I was ordering online the shipping+fees wereuch more expensive than the products I wanted to buy. So I had to wait until I got the chance to run into a Sephora which sells the Kat von D makeup line. Guess what.. That happened! This summer in Madrid I found a huge Sephora and I was in heaven... I bought a liquid lipstick in Double Dare and I couldn't wait to try it!
As I said before, I am not really an extreme lip kind of person. I like nudes, pinks (but not too bright), reds, mauve.. Those kinds of colors. I also love long lasting liquid lipsticks very much, because they're very low maintenance. I don't like reapplying makeup in public, so lip products that last are my faves.

I have read on the internet that a lot of people really love the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks and I really wanted to try them. I picked the color Double Dare, because it was a pink/red kind of color and that is my go to color.

I know that Lolita is a very wanted color, but it was a bit too orange for my liking. Also, the tester had run out and the lady st Sephora didn't really understood what my question was when I asked if there's another tester of the color. She scraped off some dry residu on the inside of the almost complete empty tube and made a very sad, chalky swatch on my hand to show me color.

Seeing the colors Double Dare was my favorite and I just went with it. Can we take a moment to take a look at the cute packaging?

Let's see how it looks on my lips!

Nothing on my lips

This is how the color looks like on my lips. I think it's really pretty and that it suits me. I love it! Application was very smooth. The texture is not really creamy, but more watery and super pigmented. With one dip I could do both my upper and lower lip, but I wanted to see how this product layered and did two dips.

Once it's dried it sits like a house. I wanted to remove it after taking this picture, because I wanted to go to the gym. But it didn't want to come off! I used micellar water. After the gym session it was still sitting perfectly on my lips and until I cleansed my face with a cleansing balm it didn't budge.

I. Love. It.

There are two things I don't like about this liquid lipstick and that is that, 1) the applicator is so long, but I think that is personal preference, because I am used to short applicators and that gives me the feeling that I am more in control. I'll just have to get used to the long applicator and 2) that after two times dipping the wand back into the tube, it pumps air into the tube, which makes it hard to put the wand back in and it also pushes out some product (which is making a huge mess).

Other than that and the price there's nothing bad to say about this product!
