Balea Beauty Effect Eye & Lip Serum

As you might have read in my shoplog (click!) I bought the Balea Beauty Effect Eye & Lips Serum, which I was excited about. I have never had a product that claimed to be an eye and lip serum. How would that work? Does it work? What does the product look like? I'll tell you in this blog post!

You can see in the picture above that it comes in a pump. I like it, it's very hygienic and that means that it doesn't go bad as fast as it would if you had to dip your finger in it.

The serum is infused with hyaluronic acid and isoflavones and it promises to smooth and firm the skin. Sounds promising!

The consistency of the serum is gel-like and the serum is crystal clear. It does contain perfume, so if you're anti-perfume for face product, you might want to skip this one.

The serum has a gel-like consistency, as stated above, and when you rub on your lips or under your eye, it might get mixed with air and turn white first. If you keep rubbing it, it will sink into your skin.

I first tried it out on my lips and I was blown away. I had cracked lips the days before I used it and when I tried this serum, my lips were just healed, but still sensitive. My lips were chapped a bit, but it didn't hurt, know what I mean? There were still dry, hard patches of skin on my lips, but when I rubbed the serum in, it all softened, like I had just hydrated my lips a few hours with lip balm. Crazy! There is one down side and that is that it contains perfume. When you use it on your lips, you might end up getting a bit of serum in you mouth and that does not taste good. It's almost like you sprayed perfume in your mouth, not too fond of that sensation. That's why I strongly suggest not to lick your lips if you have applied the serum to your lips.

After I used it on my lips I wanted to know how it works on my eye area. Because it made my lips so soft! It was not a temporary effect, my lips were legit soft. After being dry and chapped for the past few days, I could wear a liquid lipstick on my lips after I used this product, without messing up my lip condition. For eyes I used a small amount of the serum and I dotted it under my eyes, where my fine lines are and I softly rubbed the serum in. After it was all absorbed, my under eye area felt soft and very hydrated. I like!

Before serum
One dot of serum, this is the amount I use every time

I tried to capture for you how it turns white, but it's hard to capture, because once you stop rubbing, it turns back to clear very fast.

Aaaand it sunk into my skin
So my first impression of this product is very good. I like it very much. I can't say how it works for my under eye area in the long run since I have only used it once for under my eyes (right now I am busy finishing an eye cream sample), but you'll hear from me if it does miracles to my fine lines. To be completely honest, if it doesn't really do much for my eyes, I'll just use it for my lips.

I am very enthusiastic about this product and I would absolutely recommend it! The only thing I don't like about it is that it contains perfume and therefore leaving a weird taste in my mouth when I use it on my lips.
